Finished Visa Research Internship Successfully.

Mert has finished his second internship at Visa Research, Austin office (It is remote due to the pandemic). The project he has worked on was related to “Peer Group Analysis with Anomaly Detection”. Since this was his second year experience in Visa, learning curve was more manageable. He is happy that he is conducting research in industry.

The project details:

• The team proposed a scalable and parallelizable dynamic peer grouping algorithm working with any existing anomaly detection algorithm to reduce false alarms and detect anomalies in their early stages.
• The framework reduces the false positives substantially and detects multiple events earlier.
• The process of patenting the framework has been started.
